MERLO is an engineer-led property inspection company with extensive experience in construction, quality assurance and technical inspection.

Our inspections are carried out using the MERLO inspection methodology, developed to provide a systematic assessment of the accessible and inspectable elements of a property.

Depending on the property and agreed scope, our inspections can cover building fabric, finishes, workmanship, doors and windows, plumbing, electrical installations, HVAC systems, moisture and water-ingress indicators, external areas and other relevant elements.

Every finding is documented photographically and presented in a clear, structured report.

Our Professional Network

Although MERLO's standard property inspections are carried out by our inspection team, we also work closely with qualified Spanish architects and other specialist professionals.

This means that when an inspection identifies an issue requiring specialist investigation, a formal structural report, urban-planning assessment, certification or another professionally regulated service, we can bring in the appropriate qualified professional.

This provides our clients with the benefit of a single point of contact while ensuring that specialist and regulated matters are handled by the appropriately qualified professional.
